Why an offline-capable till changes everything for a business

In many shops, an internet connection is not guaranteed all day. Till software that depends entirely on the network then becomes a risk: one outage, and the queue grows while sales are written down by hand.

What “offline” really means

An offline till records every sale on the device, then syncs the data as soon as the connection returns. For the cashier, nothing changes: they take payments as usual. For the manager, the figures stay accurate.

The best till is the one you forget about: it works, even when the network doesn’t.

Three questions to ask before choosing

• What happens if the connection drops in the middle of a sale?
• Are the mobile payments my customers use supported?
• Does the software speak the vocabulary of my sector (restaurant, pharmacy, shop…)?
